Greetings to Our Ramona Bulldawg Football Fans
The 2008 football season is upon us and the gridirons around the county are warming up for what will be an exciting season of C.I.F. Football. Here at the Dawg Pound the Ramona High School football team looks forward to playing in front of the best fans in the county. This years schedule brings three C.I.F. Championship Teams from 2007 to the Dawg Pound along with California State Champion Oceanside High School on November 14th.
This year we continue to sharpen the theme of 212 degrees, the extra degree. At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils. With boiling water comes steam and steam can power a locomotive. With that extra one degree of effort we feel we can bring a championship to Ramona. The past four years we have had our season end on the last play of each game in the quarterfinals of CIF. Our goal this year is to make a run towards Qualcomm stadium.
Attitude, accountability, and effort are critical in our football program. The football staff believes our student-athletes have put in the necessary work over the past seven months to make this an exciting season. Hard work does not guarantee victories, however it can be the key element to put you in the best position to “Compete” for Victory! The 2008 Bulldogs will “Compete” from Kickoff until the Final Whistle blows!
We believe you, the fans and supporters of our football program will help us in our season. The noise and energy you bring from the stands adds a 12th person element that players thrive on. I ask that you support us through the tough times as well as the good times. The student-athletes and coaches have worked hard to move this program forward. Appreciate the effort and dedication the student-athletes have made to the sport.
Belief fuels enthusiasm, and enthusiasm explodes into passion. Friday night’s in Ramona promise to be an exciting experience for all involved.
Thank you for coming to tonight’s football game, more importantly, thank you for supporting and being a part of this wonderful community and the ‘Bulldog Football Family”!
Thank you for your support! Damon Baldwin Head Football Coach / Director of Athletics
